1974 Plymouth Duster 360 Street/strip, originally a 6 cylinder car, has Comp Cam 510" 520" to 540", with steel roller rockers, Rhodes lifters, MSD 6AL Electronic Ignition with rev limiter, has X heads, 727 reverse manual valve body, with Hurst ratchet street shifter, turbo action deep steel trans pan, The Duster has a new High volume Oil pump and a Mildon Deep sump oil pan, 3800-4000 stall, has 4.56 rear gears, has adjustable Summitt Brand racing shocks, now set at front 90/10, back 50/50. Rear D.O.T. soft wrinkle walls tires are 28" X 12.5 with 4.5" Bolt pattern, and a drive shaft loop has been installed. The car is Mars Red, which is a VW color Similar to Plymouth's Spitfire Orange, has stock interior, An Autometer tack and shift lift, The battery is mounted in the trunk with cut-off on the back bumper. It has an electric fan.
We ran it at the 1/8 mile track on February 28, 2004, it ran 7.65 @ 89.81 mph. It is a real consistent car and is easy to drive, goes straight and hooks up good. The car is a street/strip car. We have driven it on the street around town for the last year, but it is still set up for the track. If it was to be a strictly street driven car, I would personally reset the shocks and do some other small adjustments.
